Job Description Summary
This position provides reference, basic instruction, programming and implementation of services for all youth patrons; to select, order, constantly re-evaluate, and withdraw materials in assigned selection areas of the library collection; and to enforce library policies and procedures, and ensure safety of patrons and staff. This Youth Services Librarian position requires specialized field of study in Library Science with experience in all aspects of library services serving the younger customers.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Required
- Master's Degree in Library Science from an ALA accredited university program.
- Minimum two years of library experience, including one year of experience working with children.
CERTIFICATES AND LICENSES REQUIRED:
Valid Texas Driver's License with good driving record.
