Unit Supervisor – Electronic Resources - Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center Libraries - Lubbock, TX
Major/Essential Functions
- Embraces the Values- Based Culture of the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center
- Uses Gold Rush to perform eJournal holdings changes and clean-up for purchased and open access resources
- Tracks holdings changes to send to branch libraries
- Backs up eJournal holdings data
- Link checks existing eBook records in the library's Integrated Library System
- Downloads, edits, and copy catalogs eBook records in the ILS
- Tracks monthly electronic resource usage statistics, including gathering, formatting, and loading statistics into a stats tool
- Attends library meetings and product tutorials as needed, either virtually or in person
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree plus two years of job-related experience; OR a combination of education and/or experience to equal six years.
Preferred Qualifications
- Embraces new technology and trends.
- Library experience, especially working with electronic resources and/or within a technical services department.
- Experience working with integrated Library System (such as Koha), an Electronic Resources Management tool (such as Gold Rush), MarcEdit, and /or OCLC.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
- Displays persistent productivity.
- Demonstrates professionalism in all workplace situations.
- Exhibits the capacity to actively contribute to a positive work environment.
- Self-motivating and able to deal with detailed information.
- Ability to learn new procedures and adopt to a changing environment.
- Strong written English grammar and punctuation skills.
- Computer skills.
