    Librarian II- Programming Strategies
    McKinney, Texas
    Full Time
    Salary range: $51,310.48-$75,427.04 (depending on experience and qualifications)

    • Under general supervision of the Programs Branch Manager, and in partnership with the other Library Leadership team members, the Librarian II provides team-based and customer-focused leadership to ensure the best library event and program experience possible for every member of our community.
    • Provides leadership in programming across all library departments as part of a collaborative, high performing organization.
    • Responsible for keeping library programs fresh and relevant, collecting and leveraging qualitative and quantitative data, resources, and partnerships in a effort for sustained and continuous improvement.
    • Supervises 3 direct reports responsible for maintaining event web portals and coordinating marketing materials with the Communications and Marketing department. This team also plays a key role in the management of the library's website.

    Required Qualifications

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
    A Master's degree in Library Science or closely related field, and one (1) year of previous library experience.
     
    Any work related experience resulting in acceptable proficiency levels in the above Minimum Qualifications is an acceptable substitute for the above specified education and experience requirements.
     
    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
    Previous supervisory experience and bilingual language skills.
     
    CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT

    • Must pass a drug screen and background check.
    • Must have Class C Texas Driver's License
