Librarian II - Bookmobile and Community Engagement

ABOUT THE JOB:
This Librarian II position is assigned to the Austin Public Library's Community Services and Outreach division. The selected candidate will lead their own outreach events and community engagement activities to underserved immigrant populations.
Additionally, upon accepting this position, the top candidate will be expected to train and test for their Class "B" Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with the City of Austin driver program within 90 days of their start date. This position will operate the Bookmobile and will be expected to drive and maneuver the Bookmobile to outreach areas.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
- Experience delivering library programming and services to underserved vulnerable populations such as immigrants and recently arrived refugees.
- Experience in developing and maintaining partnerships with community organizations and schools.
- Prior experience operating a bookmobile.
- Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking Spanish.
