Must have Master's Degree in Library Science or equivalent degree from a program accredited by the American Library Association. Spanish fluency is preferred, but not required.
40 hours per week. Includes some evenings and Saturdays. Schedule may vary, and flexible scheduling (4/10 or 9/80) is available.
Job duties include:Long-range planning for youth library services;
Planning, preparing, and presenting twice-weekly storytimes;
Planning, preparing, and presenting the Summer Reading Challenge for youth and teens;
Outreach to schools, preschools, and other community organizations;
Sharing in collection development tasks for all age groups; and
Participating in professional meetings, conference, and seminars.
