The entry-level Librarian assists in developing and implementing all policies and procedures related to the Library's Information Literacy program and participates in providing public services to library customers. The Librarian provides general and course-specific instruction, teaches courses in person, online, and hybrid formats. Implement the instructional design using various technologies, tools, and resources, and assists with all instruction initiatives. The Librarian participates with the Research Services librarian team in outreach activities, collection development, and professional assistance via various methods.
The responsibilities of this position also include but are not limited to: some evening and weekend work in an academic library using a wide range of traditional and electronic resources. The Librarian also serves as a liaison subject specialist to academic departments; participates in campus outreach; serves on committees of the Library and the University of Texas Dallas as needed, and fulfills other duties as assigned.
