This position will work with the team of professionals at the Central Library providing exceptional customer service and world-class programs with and for children aged birth to 12 years. The Central Library serves a culturally diverse community located in downtown Austin. Our team serves our community by creating and delivering a variety of community-centered programming including Storytimes, art programs, hosting field trips, and welcoming special guest presenters. Our team values open communication, trust, peer support, mentoring, and helping each other support the children and families in the community.
Minimum Qualification:
- LIBRARIAN I: Graduation with a Master's degree in Library and Information Science from an ALA-accredited college or university, or must be earned within six (6) months of employment.
- LIBRARIAN II: Graduation with a Master's degree in Library and Information Science from an ALA-accredited college or university, plus two (2) years of experience as a professional librarian.
