The Flower Mound Public Library has two openings for part-time Substitute Librarians. These positions will report to the Assistant Director / Technical Services Manager. There is no set schedule, and the number of hours per week could vary from 0 to 10 or more. The primary duty will be covering either the Adult or Youth Services desks as needed, primarily when regular staff is on leave but also for extra help during special events. Desk duties include traditional reference and reader advisory, as well as assisting patrons with program registration and study room reservations, and using the Library's e-content services.
The Flower Mound Public Library has earned the Texas Municipal Library Director's Association Excellence in Libraries award for 19 consecutive years. The Library was renovated and expanded in 2020. The Town has earned many accolades, including Safest City in Texas in 2023.
