Perform original (including complex) and copy cataloging of all formats of library materials to facilitate their identification, access, and use.

Interpret and apply Library of Congress subject headings, the Dewey Decimal System, the AACR2, RDA, and the Online Computer Library Center (OCLC) manuals in cataloging and classifying library materials.

Maintain authority records and perform needed authority work in the database.

Resolve cataloging and database problems, report trends in bibliographic services, answer questions, transmit information, and discuss options for handling library materials.

Plan and coordinates the cataloging and classification of all library collection resources.

Supervise staff assigned to resource services including hiring, training, goal setting, and performance evaluation and coaching.

Oversee the plan and coordinate the acquisition of all library collection resources.

Plan, coordinate, analyze, and resolve problems and errors in the operation of those elements of the integrated library automation system association with resource services.

Participates in overall professional management of library as assigned, including acting as supervisor for entire library operation at night, on weekends, or at other times as necessary.

Plan and coordinate the processing of all library collection resources.

Perform database maintenance for bibliographic and authority records.

Maintain the integrity of the integrated library system through authority file records.

Develop constructive and cooperative working relationships with internal staff, staff from member libraries, and other relevant community leaders.

Analyze and organize the work flow for all aspects of library collection resources.
Plan and coordinate the repair and maintenance of library collection materials as necessary.

Advise library management on all resource service matters.

Participate in selection of library materials as necessary.

Engage in current awareness and continuing education regarding all areas of responsibility.

Must have knowledge of current Anglo-American Cataloging Rules (AACR), Machine
-
Readable Cataloging (MARC) format, RDA, and Integrated Library System (ILS) software products.

Must have knowledge of general data processing products appropriate to an office environment, including word processing, spreadsheet and database software, as well as web publishing and languages.

Knowledge and experience of Bibframe a plus.

Must have knowledge of management and supervisory techniques.

Must possess skill in performing original cataloging and classification.

Must possess skill in troubleshooting Online Public Access Catalog (OPAC) problems.

Must possess skill in interpersonal communications.

Must be able to train and supervise staff.

Must be able to plan and organize work.

Must be able to communicate effectively orally and in writing.

Must be able to operate personal computers, printers, calculators, copy machines, faxes, scanners, digital telephones, and Microform readers and reader-printers.
- Ability to travel for training purposes.
