Come work supporting Open Education at Texas AM Libraries. The division of OpenEd is looking for someone to help us grow our OER program. The Open Publishing Platform Manager will oversee the overall operation of the open publishing platform, Pressbooks site, for all TAMU System entities. Acts as administrator for the site and is the point of contact for faculty and staff to create online textbooks. Responsible for managing the design and layout specifications to create, maintain, and transmit digital files that will be used in the publication of the openly licensed books.
Starting Salary is 4180.7 a month.
Required Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree in applicable field or any equivalent combination of education and experience

Seven years' experience in in designing publications, working with instructional materials, and/or using and online course technology, or program management within the learning and design field
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Knowledge of Learning Management Systems and instructional technologies

Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others

Effective verbal and written communication skills

Strong interpersonal, leadership, problem solving and organizational skills

Knowledge email, word processing, spreadsheet applications and internet searching Excellent customer service skills
Preferred Education and Experience:

Experience with instructional design, working with instructional materials, and using online course technology

Experience with HTML, web authoring tools, and/or publishing

Experience with the application of instructional design principles

Experience collaborating with faculty/instructors on course materials

Creative Commons Certification

Copyright X/Copyright X for Libraries Certification

Knowledge or professional development experience with Creative Commons

Knowledge of Pressbooks, H5P, or other open publishing tools

Knowledge of learning management systems (e.g. Canvas)

Knowledge of ADA accessibility as it applies to higher education ( e.g. WCAG standards)
