JOB DESCRIPTION
Coordinates, plans, and administers library programs, events, and activities for ages 0 to 5, both in-person and online, that advance the Library's mission, vision, values, and strategic priorities.
Assist in coordinating the Summer Reading Program, including planning, preparing, and conducting special programming across all age groups.
Conducts story time sessions for babies (0 to 1), toddlers (1 to 3), and early learners (3 to 5), including storybook readings, songs and dances, and special activities.
Plans and implements the Family Place Library program, including workshops, community engagement, program development, and other training as needed.
Recommends titles and other materials to be added to the collection.
Collects, compiles, and reports statistics related to program attendance, return on investment, and overall success of Early Literacy services.
Monitors library trends, best practices, and developments in the profession. Shares knowledge and makes recommendations to the Library Director.
Performs clerical duties, including operating the circulation desk, handling cardholder records and payments, processing and shelving books, and assisting patrons with library resources.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Expresses interest in work assignments, environment, personnel, and management.
Interacts professionally and respectfully with the public, coworkers, and others in the course of daily work.
