LF Smith Elementary School in
Pasadena ISD is seeking a certified school librarian starting in January 2023. Since it's opening in 1959 the school has been deeply rooted in the community and in 2017 opened a new building for the approximately 600 PK - 4th grade students. In Pasadena ISD our librarians
supervise and manage the school library media center while providing services and resources that allow students to develop skills in locating, evaluating, synthesizing and using information to solve problems. Librarians serve as teacher, materials expert, and curriculum advisor to involve the library in the instructional programs of the school. PISD offers centralized processing for all library materials so that campus librarians are able to spend more instructional time with students during the day.
