The Collection Resources Supervisor at the Carrollton Public Library in Carrollton, TX is responsible for the acquisition and management of library materials and resources, including managing the materials budget and preparing specifications and evaluating bids for the procurement of products and services.
In addition to selecting library collections in various formats, this position provides leadership to a team of Librarian Selectors who share selection responsibilities across the two Carrollton Library locations and supervises a technical services team.
This position maintains collection data and statistics, and coordinates the reporting of department performance measures.
Updating and upholding the Collection Development Policy along with other Library Management Team members, as well as recording collection policy decisions, is also in this supervisor's purview.
