Salary:
Minimum $42,000-$52,000 DOQ
Full Time (40 hours/week)

Essential Functions:
- Organize, plan, and implement age-appropriate programs including the summer reading club.
- Provide readers advisory and reference services.
- Conduct tours.
- Oversee children's computer lab; offer suggestions for full utilization of technical/computer resources.
- Represent Rosenberg Library in community outreach opportunities.
- Create storytime props, design book displays, and keep department orderly.
- Maintain assigned collection, including weeding, ordering, and display of material.
- Brainstorm with fellow children's department team members to create awesome programs, collections, and services.
- Participate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned.
- Work Saturdays and occasional evenings until 8 pm.
Minimum Qualifications:
Master's Degree in Library Science from an ALA accredited school, or must be received within six (6) months of employment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience working with children and/or the general public.
- Enjoy reading as a leisure time activity.
- Ability to speak/read/write Spanish.
