We are seeking an Assistant Library Manager to play a vital role in the design, implementation, direction, and management of library operations. Working within the parameters set by the Library Manager and/or the Director of Community Services, the successful candidate can exercise creativity, independent judgment, and discretion in shaping departmental programs and services. In addition, this position may also assume the responsibilities of the Library Manager in their absence.

About: The Judy B. McDonald Public Library is open 59 hours per week, has a collection of approximately 105,000 items, and is a department of the City of Nacogdoches as part of the Community Services Division.
Education/Experience: Master's Degree in Library and Information Science from a university or college accredited by the American Library Association (ALA) accredited university or a related field, plus three years of professional management or public library work experience; OR an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
Full-time, exempt position, TRMS retirement plan, vacation, sick, personal holiday, Blue Cross/Blue Shield health insurance
Salary: $50,807.12 per year
